Our dog, Chester, is over 7 yrs of age now but I will never forget the day we picked him up at 8 weeks of age, all tiny and cuddly and fitting into the palm of one hand. Having a dog was great preparation for the reponsibilities of parenthood and our daughter has been able from the start to appreciate having a pet.
