Sure, I agree about the need to better educate farmers on the care of their animals, but trying to get a big named company to actively put farmers out of a job just to give the calves milk (which, by the way they get no matter what) is just ridiculous.
I am actually sitting here laughing, because what is one of the things a nursing mother is encouraged to increase in her diet? Yep, COW'S MILK!!! So, that would then mean, these companies (if they agreed) would be providing human breastmilk that still has COW'S MILK proteins in it. And yes, I am a nursing mother myself, and yes, I am increasing COW'S MILK in my diet to better increase the calcium my body requires.
Anyone else think that the plan needs to be thought through a little more?
PETA- Start educating people on how to increase the quality of life of an animal and stop trying to turn the world against animal consumption. How you forget that we ourselves are animals, and that our bodies are not designed to an animal product free diet.
Now that is going too far!!!
