I agree that a gift of time is the best gift a parent can give to her child. However, due to the hectic lifestyle that we have, it may not be possible. The second best gift (I believe) is to go on short trip as a family. It need not be for a long period or expansive. It can be a day spent in a picnic or beach, booking a challet for a few nights etc.
This december we are going off to Melacca for 3 nights in a resort with lots of fun and games.We're going with my hubby's parents and siblings' family, so the kids are very excited to spend the time with their cousins too.....
